DESCRIPTION:Join us for a joyful and inspirational Christmas Eve \nMadelon Maupin will share fresh new ways to celebrate Christmas in your heart.\n  \n 7:00 pm Music by Rebecca Minor\, Gwen Eagleton\, & Erin Williams\n7:30 pm Talk by Madelon Maupin\nAt Christmas time we naturally think of the baby Jesus\, the Old Testament’s prophecies of the Messiah\, and how the world was forever changed with his birth. \nThis talk looks at the groups and individuals who recognized the uniqueness of Christ Jesus’ arrival and what they can teach us today about welcoming the Christ into our hearts and lives.  We learn that neither gender nor economic standing has anything to do with this receptivity\, opening the way for Christ to touch everyone’s heart. \nThis talk is in English and will be simultaneously translated into Spanish.\nIt will also be live-streamed at thirdchurchnyc.com. \nPlease join us for an exploration of Matthew and Luke’s Gospels with their distinct birth stories and how the individuals they describe are Biblical role models for all of us. \nThe talk will include a visual presentation as well as a handout. \nPlease come and bring your friends.\nClick on the social share buttons below to share on Facebook\, Twitter\, etc. \nMadelon Maupin has a Masters in Theological Studies and has lectured for Princess Cruises on trips to Biblical lands\, occasionally leads trips to the Middle East\, and has written over 70 articles on spirituality. She served on the Board of Trustees for Adventure Unlimited as well as a member of the national ecumenical team of The First Church of Christ\, Scientist\, Boston. Madelon has traveled worldwide sharing her love of the Bible through talks to churches and organizations since 2012.
