DESCRIPTION:Join us for this Good Friday program\nBrian Webster will talk about how we can find Christ on our own walk to Emmaus today.\n \nOn the first day of the week after Jesus’ crucifixion\, two of his disciples left Jerusalem for Emmaus wondering if the mission of Jesus had failed. They thought the Messiah had died on the cross. They were in for a big surprise. \nHave we fallen into thinking that the glory days of Christian Science are over\, and that our ability to practice it is becoming a thing of the past? \nThis Easter we will explore some modern-day parallels in a talk titled “Our Walk to Emmaus” by Brian Webster. \nPlease join us in person on Good Friday\, April 18\nat Third Church of Christ\, Scientist\,\n583 Park Ave and 63rd Street in NYC. \nThe talk will begin at 7:30 PM Eastern Time\, preceded by inspirational organ music at 7:20 PM. \nQ&A after the talk:\nYou are invited to remain after the talk for a Q&A with Brian. He has served his church in many capacities\, including First and Second Reader\, Sunday school teacher and board member. You may be familiar with his frequent contributions to the Christian Science periodicals and Daily Lifts.  \n\nBrian began his professional career as a high school science teacher\, then transitioned into the business world where he worked in marketing for a number of years. Over the last 20 years he helped start and manage several small businesses. He is currently Director of Development for Peace Haven Association\, a Christian Science care facility in Saint Louis\, Missouri that provides practical care for those relying solely on prayer for healing. \nBrian and his wife\, Celia\, live in Ballwin\, Missouri\, and have two grown children.
