Bible Study on the Book of Revelation @ Westport, CT, First Church of Christ, Scientist
Mar 9 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Madelon Maupin will lead a Bible Study
on the Book of Revelation:

“Unpacking Revelation’s Heavenly Symbols”

The last book in the New Testament has puzzled readers for centuries. This study will help take away some of the mystery of this late first-century text by looking at its authorship, structure, themes, historical context, and symbolism.

Madelon will explore how the ideas in the book of Revelation apply to Christians today, both individually and collectively.

We’ll also examine its relationship to the Bible’s first book, Genesis, as well as some of the ways it has been interpreted through the centuries.

NOTE: This is not a Christian Science lecture or Bible study intended for the public.

You must register for this event. Click on the “Tickets” tab at the top right of this page.

There is minimum contribution of $35.00 to attend this event. If you would like to purchase a box lunch for an additional $12, you may, or you can bring your own lunch. Registration closes March 6.

The Sermon on the Mount with Kristy Christian @ Bernardsville, NJ, First Church of Christ, Scientist
Mar 30 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Kristy Christian will talk about the Sermon on the Mount

Saturday, March 30 1:00 – 4:00 pm

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bernardsville, NJ

If we want to practice primitive Christianity as Christ Jesus did, do we need to know and understand the founder’s teachings?

The Gospel of Matthew documents a large portion of these teachings in what has come to be known as the “Sermon on the Mount.” In that Sermon, we find the highest standards for the scientific Christian.

Do these ideals seem difficult to attain, far-off, or even impossible for us to live? This talk will take an in-depth look at these timeless teachings to discover how they reveal to the scientific Christian the way to think and live righteously.

This is a free event
Sponsored by the Christian Science churches in Bernardsville and Summit.

Please bring your Bible.
