Mark Sappenfield is Editor of The Christian Science Monitor. Mark joined the Monitor in 1996 and has since written from Boston, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Pentagon, and India. In addition to reporting from Pakistan and Afghanistan during his time in South Asia, Mark has also written on issues of sports and science. He has covered seven Olympic Games and attended events at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, including the landing of the Mars rover Opportunity. After returning to Boston in 2009, Mark served as both deputy national news editor and national news editor.

Larissa Snorek-Yates, CS has always felt impelled to help others, in her outdoor education programs, small claims court mediation, or teaching graduate students at the World Learning Institute where she received her Masters degree in sustainability and peace-building. She is now a Christian Science Practitioner dedicated to helping people through prayer to find healing in their lives. She lectures in French and English and makes her home in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

In this lecture, Giulia will discuss how Christian Science answers that yearning and brings the healing and transforming power of God, divine Spirit, to our lives.

She will explore the role Mary Baker Eddy’s book “Science and Health” plays in helping us to take part in the spiritual revolution and to know God better.

Giulia Nesi, CSB has always had a deep love for people wanting to help them move past their struggles to find peace. This led her into the mental health field as a psychotherapist. But after reading “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy she realized there was a realm of spirituality that enabled her to bless those who sought her aid on a deeper level.
 
Giulia is now a Christian Science Practitioner (spiritual healer). She also teaches a yearly class on spiritual healing. She lives in Fairfield, Connecticut.

He lives in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston.
