Our keynote speaker this year is Joyce Hawes, C.S. Her talk is entitled

“Love’s Comforting Angels”

You will also hear reports of our activities, finances, progress, and healing work over the last year. Please join us for an afternoon of joy, inspiration and the healing presence of Love.

There will be light refreshments and musical interludes.

Our Annual Meeting is an opportunity to gather together and support one another in our individual and collective spiritual progress: to share inspiration; to gain spiritual insights; to encourage each other; and to share the Christly affection that blesses us, our community and the world. Joyce Hawes C.S. came into Christian Science as a child after her sister was healed of polio. She graduated from Connecticut College for Women with a degree in music, where she helped to start a Christian Science college organization. She assisted her husband, Joseph Heard, CSB, in his work as a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science, serving as his secretary and administrative assistant for 28 years.  Joyce also accompanied her husband when he was a lecturer for ten of those years, visiting 46 states and 35 countries.  During this time she continued her active practice.
     She has served in a number of capacities in branch church work, including First and Second Reader, Board member, Sunday School Superintendent, and has especially loved being a Sunday School teacher for many years.
