My career began as an Outward Bound instructor guiding in the canyons and mountains of the American west. Following religious studies during college and a masters degree in Biblical studies, I served as a chaplain with the Marines for some years. After returning home to Colorado with Natalie & our two girls, I was able to help with the national start up of Americorps/NCCC. Next was an opportunity to work as the Ranch Directors at Adventure Unlimited, and then a lifelong dream come true of opening The Link School (an experiential based high school for Christian Science teens). I then completed a masters in addiction counseling and worked volunteering in the criminal justice system and with community mental health.
When the inspiration to serve full time in the healing practice of Christian Science came, it was a blessed call to have the opportunity to answer and truly felt like coming home.
Jenny Lynn Stewart has been Third Church’s soloist for more than 10 years. Jenny grew up in Detroit Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance from The University of Michigan. Jenny made her Carnegie Hall debut as the soprano soloist in Dvorak’s Requiem. She has toured the United States and the world in such Rodgers and Hammerstein classics as Carousel (Nettie Fowler) and The Sound of Music (The Mother Abbess) with fellow artists including Marie Osmond, John Davidson, and Patrick Cassidy.
Todd Peters is happy to serve Third Church as its organist. He has two advanced degrees, one from Indiana University and the other from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Peters has been an theatre director, coach, teacher, and organist starting as a teenager in his hometown church in the Midwest.
