Mike Mooslin, CS, spent over 30 years of his business career as President of 2 national restaurant companies and for 25 years as President of Color Me Mine, the Paint Your Own Pottery franchise. He has served on numerous non-profit boards and his innovative human resource programs for the developmentally disabled have been the subject of ABC, CBS and NBC news magazines as well as a Health and Human Services documentary. In 1986 He successfully lobbied Congress for changes in laws related to the hiring of the disabled and was honored for his work in a ceremony in the Oval Office by President Ronald Reagan.
He has taught the college-aged class in Sunday School for over 50 years, and currently teaches the online college class for The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston Mass. He is the current First Reader at First Church, Christ Scientist, Newport Beach.
Christian Science Nursing has been a passion for Mike, He is active on the Valuing the Christian Science Nurse subcommittee for the Association of Christian Science Nursing, and has served on numerous Christian Science Nursing Boards. He has written frequently for the Periodicals and became a Journal-listed Practitioner in the healing ministry of Christian Science in 2020. Mr. Mooslin resides in Newport Beach with his wife Nancy. They have two children and five grandchildren.
Jenny Lynn Stewart has been Third Church’s soloist for more than 10 years. Jenny grew up in Detroit Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance from The University of Michigan. Jenny made her Carnegie Hall debut as the soprano soloist in Dvorak’s Requiem. She has toured the United States and the world in such Rodgers and Hammerstein classics as Carousel (Nettie Fowler) and The Sound of Music (The Mother Abbess) with fellow artists including Marie Osmond, John Davidson, and Patrick Cassidy.
Todd Peters is happy to serve Third Church as its organist. He has two advanced degrees, one from Indiana University and the other from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Peters has been an theatre director, coach, teacher, and organist starting as a teenager in his hometown church in the Midwest.
