Joyce Hawes, CS  came into Christian Science as a child after her sister was healed of polio. She graduated from Connecticut College for Women with a degree in music, where she helped to start a Christian Science college organization. In 1997 she became listed in the Christian Science Journal as a practitioner. She has served in a number of capacities in branch church work, including First and Second Reader, Board member, Sunday School Superintendent, and has especially loved being a Sunday School teacher for many years.
